This relaunch issue marks Women's Wear Daily's transition from trade newspaper to weekly magazine. The 105-year-old publication — often referred to as the Bible of Fashion — had a clean, modern aesthetic before the redesign, but lacked the tools to tell a wider range of stories in a variety of voices. The new type palette, featuringFormaby David Jonathan Ross (Chiswick,PublicoandDala Moafrom Commercial Type, brings a new level of nuance and style to news, gossip, entertainment and fashion content alike.

Commercial Type was commissioned to help develop a new logo for the Eye section, and Dala Moa quickly spread throughout the section once the logo was in place.
